LIVE WELL FERGUSON “WELLNESS DAY” AND 5KRUN/FUN WALK PACKET PICK UP

Wellness Day returns to the farmers market this Saturday, 8am till noon. We will have 54 tents up , including the wellness fair featuring, Christian Hospital’s mobile van, doing free cholesterol , blood pressure, and blood glucose screenings. They will be joined by the Alzheimers association, Saving Our Neighbors Lives, organ donation group, Ferguson Chiropractic, our local YMCA , plus more! Don’t miss this free health screenings opportunity. For those who have signed up for the Live Well Events 1 mile fun walk at 5pm, and the 5K Twilight Run at 6pm, you may pick up your race packet and tee shirt for that nights run. Haven’t signed up, they will be glad to get you entered, so you don’t miss this great 3rd annual event. Over 1,200 participants last year, lets break the record this year! If you won’t be walking or running, come cheer on the crowd, and enjoy the music of the Smash Band at 6:30. It’s a fun, festive, family friendly day at the market, and then at Plaza at 501 on South Florissant Road. See you there!!

MAY 12TH COSE DOLCI BAKERY “KIDS DECORATE COOKIES FOR MOTHER’S DAY”

The elves at Ferguson’s specialty bakery “COSE DOLCI” have been busy baking cookies for your kids and grandkids to decorate for their moms on Mother’s Day. Decorating begins at 10am, and you may enter the drawing to win a $20 gift certificate to COSE DOLCI from 8-12. Enter the drawing in the farmers market t shirt booth, just your name and phone # and you could be a winner. Drawing at 11am. (Check out the new t shirt designs in womens and mens sizes, and great colors!) Lively music by Bob Case, 9-11, so shop for all of your veggie and strawberry needs for the week, and then plan to enjoy the music, and visiting with family, friends and neighbors. There will be close to 50 tents up this Saturday, lots of friendly farmers , check out the list on this page for availability for this week. Northern Arts Council will have art activites, 9-11 , always great fun, and a great learning experience. Live Well Events will have registration for the 5K Run/ 1mile fun walk , coming up on May 19th, sign up and get a list of the evenings events, you won’t want to miss the 3rd annual race, come to run/ walk or just to cheer on the crowds! 2003-2012 JOIN OUR 10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION!

Opening day is May 5th, we hope you can join the fun as the Ferguson Farmers Market kicks off its 10th season. As always our farmers will be bringing you the freshest local produce and fruits, all season long. All picked within 24 hours of the market, by the friendly farmers who grow them. Welcome back your favorite vendors and meet the new vendors who are joining us this season. Opening day will begin with 46 tents , including meats, cheeses, bread and pastries, nuts, honey, pasta, spices, farm fresh eggs, bedding plants, and more! Snack on tasty foods prepared on-site while you enjoy live music each week. Pick up your 26 week special event schedule that lists dates for the chef demos, food contests, farmer sample fests, as well as the Wellness Health Fair, Pesto Festo Celebration and Germanfest! There will be a free drawing each week in May, enter in the farmers market t shirt tent, to win a free registration for the 5K Twilight Run, Cose Dolci gift certificate, or market bucks$$. With Thanksgiving fast approaching the Ferguson Farmers Market would like to thank our hardworking farmers for the bounty they harvest each week of the season. We are grateful for the many loyal shoppers who frequent our market on a regular basis, and for the new customers who found us, in this our 9th season of the market. We are greatly appreciate the crew of volunteers who give of their time on Saturday’s between 6am and 1pm, for six months of the year!
